RetireRange

Refer a Friend

The simplest way to pay less for RetireRange: tell someone who’d find it useful.

When a friend subscribes through your link, you both earn a credit worth half of their first payment$10 each if they start on the monthly plan, or $100 each if they go annual. There’s no cap on how many people you can refer, and your credits don’t expire while you stay subscribed.

Refer five friends on the monthly plan and you’re paying half price for five months — or refer one who signs up for the year and earn a $100 credit. It’s the full $100 either way; the only difference is how fast it comes off — all at once against an annual renewal, or spread across your monthly bills (never more than half a bill at a time).

How it works

1. Grab your link. Every subscriber gets a personal referral link on their account page, alongside the current credit balance.

The account page showing your personal referral link and current credit balance.

2. Share it. Send it to anyone who’s wrestling with the same retirement questions you were. There’s no limit on how many people can use it.

3. You both get credit. Once your friend has been a paying subscriber for about a month, a credit worth half of their first payment lands in both accounts — theirs and yours. That’s $10 each on a monthly signup, or $100 each if they chose the annual plan.

How your credits stretch further

Most referral programs hand you one free month and stop. This one is built to keep reducing what you pay, renewal after renewal.

The trick is the cap: a credit comes off at most half of any single renewal. That sounds like a restriction, and it is — but it works in your favor. Your credits don’t vanish in one big free month and then leave you back at full price. They stretch out.

  • Five monthly referrals → about five months at half price (five $10 credits, $10 off each monthly bill)
  • Ten monthly referrals → about ten months at half price
  • One annual referral → a $100 credit, up to $100 off your next annual renewal (or spread across your monthly bills if that’s your plan)

Same total value, spread across a longer stretch of discounted bills.

The rules, in full

  • Who can refer. Any subscriber with an active subscription. You’ll find your link and current balance on your account page.
  • What each referral is worth. A credit worth half of your friend’s first payment$10 if they start on the $20/month plan, $100 if they start on the $200/year plan — to both you and the person you referred. (The amount follows the plan your friend picks, not yours.)
  • When credits post. Because every new member starts with a 30-day free trial, a credit posts as soon as your friend’s first payment goes through — when their trial ends and the first bill is paid. Referrals are tied to people who actually become paying subscribers, not just trial sign-ups.
  • How credits are applied. Automatically, at your next renewal — up to a cap of half that renewal’s price ($10 on a monthly renewal, $100 on an annual one). A single renewal is never reduced to zero, which is exactly what makes the credits stretch across more of them.
  • How long credits last. They don’t expire while your subscription stays active.
  • What credits are not. Credits have no cash value and can’t be redeemed for cash. They can only be applied toward a RetireRange subscription renewal.
  • If your subscription lapses. A credit requires an active subscription at the moment it would apply. Credits are forfeited if your subscription lapses or is cancelled.
  • Self-referrals. Not permitted. Referring yourself, or abusing the program in any other way, disqualifies the credit.
  • Changes to the program. We may modify, suspend, or end the referral program, or adjust credit amounts and caps, at any time — with notice for changes affecting credits you’ve already earned.

Common questions

Is there a limit on how many people I can refer?

No. Refer as many as you like. The only limit is on how fast credits are applied — half a renewal at a time — not on how many you can earn.

What does my friend get?

The same credit you do: half of their first payment ($10 on monthly, $100 on annual), posted as soon as their first payment goes through at the end of the free trial. They also get the standard 30-day free trial, so they can decide whether RetireRange is worth it before paying anything.

When will I see it?

Your balance appears on your account page. Credits post once your friend’s first payment goes through (when their trial ends), then apply automatically at your next renewal.

What if I’m on the annual plan?

Two things depend on the plan. What you earn follows the plan your friend picks — $10 if they go monthly, $100 if they go annual. What you can apply at once follows your plan — up to half your renewal, so on the annual plan that’s up to $100 off your next $200 renewal, with any remaining balance carrying to the following year.
