1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing, or using RetireRange (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service. These Terms apply to all subscribers, visitors, and anyone else who accesses the Service. Your continued use after any modification constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of the Service

RetireRange is a web-based retirement planning tool that uses Monte Carlo simulation to model projected outcomes from inputs you supply. It includes a simulator that runs thousands of scenarios in your browser; tools to save, compare, and optimize named strategies; a historical backtest; an optional AI-generated plain-language summary produced by a third-party AI service; and email notifications for long-running optimizer jobs. The Service is delivered through a web application and is available to subscribers with an active membership (after any free trial).

3. Not Financial Advice — Important Disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS A PLANNING AND EDUCATIONAL TOOL. IT IS NOT FINANCIAL ADVICE.

All results — including success rates, ending balances, income and tax projections, and any AI-generated summaries — are based entirely on assumptions you supply and on mathematical modeling. They are simulations, not predictions.

The Service does not connect to any financial institution. It has no access to your actual balances, holdings, transaction history, or Social Security record. Every number it works with is one you entered.
Past performance does not guarantee future results. The return and volatility assumptions in your simulations may not reflect actual future markets.
The Service does not account for your complete individual circumstances — tax situation, estate planning, healthcare needs, or family circumstances a qualified advisor would weigh.
Nothing in the Service or its output constitutes investment, tax, legal, or other professional advice. Anadar Professional Services is not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, tax advisor, or attorney.

Educational use only — not a substitute for formal financial planning. RetireRange is designed to inform and educate. It is not a financial plan, and it is not a replacement for customized, formal financial planning by a qualified professional who can evaluate your complete and specific circumstances. Use it to learn, explore options, and prepare for those conversations — not as the sole basis for any financial decision.

Modeling and statistical uncertainty. The Service relies on complex mathematical and statistical models — including randomized (Monte Carlo) simulation, probability distributions, and assumptions about market returns, inflation, taxes, and longevity. Its outputs are estimates and probabilities, not certainties or guarantees, and are inherently subject to error, approximation, and the limitations of the underlying models and data. Actual results will differ, sometimes substantially. Small changes in the assumptions you enter can produce materially different outcomes, and no simulation can capture every factor that affects a real retirement. You should treat all results as one input to your thinking, not as a precise forecast.

Results are provided for educational and planning purposes only. Before making any financial decision, consult a qualified professional who can evaluate your specific circumstances. This disclaimer applies to all features, including AI-generated summaries, which simply restate your modeled results in plain language and inherit all the limitations of the underlying simulation.

4. Subscriptions, Trial, Billing, and Refunds

4.1 Membership. Full access requires an active paid membership (following any free trial). Access is revoked when a membership expires or is cancelled, subject to the trial and refund terms below.

4.2 Account registration. You must create an account to use the Service and agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it up to date.

4.3 One account per subscriber. Subscriptions are personal and non-transferable. Sharing credentials is not permitted; each person who uses the Service must have their own subscription.

4.4 Free trial. New subscribers begin with a 30-day free trial with full access to the Service. We will not charge you during the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription at the plan and price you selected, and your payment method is charged at that time. The trial is limited to one per person.

4.5 Plans and payment. Paid plans are billed in advance on the schedule you choose (monthly or annual) at the prices shown at purchase. All fees are in U.S. dollars and processed by our payment processor, Stripe. By providing a payment method, you authorize us to charge the applicable fees when due.

4.6 Automatic renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. We charge the payment method on file at the then-current price for your plan.

4.7 Cancellation. You may cancel at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation stops future charges; your access continues through the end of the billing period you have already paid for, after which it ends. After your access ends, your saved planning data is kept for a 30-day grace period — resubscribing within that window restores it — and is then permanently deleted, as described in Section 9.5 and the Privacy Policy. Certain billing and referral-program records are retained longer where the law requires.

4.8 Refunds. The 30-day free trial is your opportunity to evaluate the Service before paying — if you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged. After the trial, fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable, and we do not prorate refunds for partial billing periods (you retain access through the end of the period you’ve paid for), except where a refund is required by applicable law.

4.9 Price changes. We may change pricing at any time. If the price for your current plan changes, we will give at least 30 days’ notice before it takes effect on your subscription. Continued subscription after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.

5. Referral Program

Subscribers may receive a personal referral code. When a new subscriber’s paid subscription begins after using your code, both you and the new subscriber may receive an account credit toward future renewals, as described on the pricing page. Credits are granted after the referred member’s free trial ends and they have become a paying subscriber (approximately 30 days after the trial).

5.1 Credits are not cash. Referral credits have no cash value, are not redeemable for cash, and can only be applied toward RetireRange subscription renewals.

5.2 How credits apply. We apply credit toward renewals subject to a per-renewal cap (no more than half of a renewal’s price), so a single renewal is never reduced to zero by credits. Credits remain available while your subscription is active.

5.3 Eligibility and forfeiture. A credit requires the referrer to have an active subscription when it would apply. Credits are forfeited if your subscription lapses or is cancelled. Self-referrals and abuse of the program are prohibited.

5.4 Changes. We may modify, suspend, or end the referral program, or adjust credit amounts and caps, at any time, with notice for changes that affect credits you have already earned.

6. Account Security

You are responsible for the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately at support@retirerange.com if you become aware of unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for loss arising from your failure to maintain account security.

7. Permitted Use

Subject to these Terms and an active membership (or trial), we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial retirement planning.

8. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
Share, sell, resell, sublicense, or transfer your account or access;
Use the Service to provide financial planning or investment advice to others without our express written permission;
Scrape, crawl, or systematically download the Service using automated tools;
Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or derive source code from the Service;
Circumvent, disable, or interfere with access controls, subscription gates, or security features;
Introduce malware or any code designed to disrupt the Service;
Use the Service in any way that could damage, overload, or impair it;
Misrepresent your identity or affiliation; or
Use simulation results as the basis of advice to others without clearly disclosing the tool’s limitations and the "not financial advice" disclaimer.

9. Your Data

9.1 You own your data. All planning inputs, scenario configurations, and assumptions you enter remain yours. We claim no ownership.

9.2 License to operate. By saving data, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display that data back to you as needed to operate the Service. We do not use your saved scenario data for any other purpose.

9.3 Accuracy. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. The Service accepts your inputs at face value and cannot verify balances, dates, or other information you supply.

9.4 No financial-institution connection. The Service has no connection to any bank, broker, or government agency. Balances and projections are self-reported assumptions, not verified account data.

9.5 Deletion and retention. You may delete individual scenarios at any time from within the app, and may request deletion of your account and all associated planning data by contacting support@retirerange.com. In addition, if your subscription ends and is not renewed, we keep your saved scenarios and results for a 30-day grace period — during which resubscribing restores them — and then permanently delete them along with the personal account details tied to them. We retain limited billing and referral-program records longer where required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. 10. AI-Generated Summaries

The Service includes an optional "Generate AI Summary" feature that sends a curated, anonymized subset of your simulation inputs and results to the Anthropic Claude API, operated by Anthropic, PBC, which returns a plain-language narrative.

10.1 What is sent. The payload contains anonymized parameters and results (e.g., ages, strategy, allocation percentages, success rate, percentile balances). It does not contain your name, email, username, or credentials.

10.2 Anthropic’s terms apply. Use of this feature is also subject to Anthropic’s usage policies. By using it, you acknowledge that data is transmitted to a third-party API.

10.3 Not financial advice. AI-generated summaries are subject to the full disclaimer in Section 3. A language model restates your modeled results conversationally; it does not verify them, correct input errors, or reflect information it wasn’t given, and may contain inaccuracies.

10.4 Rate limits and caching. AI summaries are subject to a per-subscriber monthly limit (shown in the app) and are cached by scenario, so re-running an unchanged scenario returns the cached summary.

11. Analytics and Aggregate Benchmarking

11.1 Usage analytics. We collect anonymized, cookieless behavioral signals (features used, tabs visited, session timing) tied to an anonymous session identifier. No financial data you enter is included. See the Privacy Policy.

11.2 Aggregate benchmarking (opt-in). If you opt in, we collect strictly non-identifying, bucketed data points (e.g., withdrawal-rate range, rounded success rate, filing-status category, allocation mix, plan-horizon length) for aggregate research and benchmarking features. Participation is voluntary and you may withdraw at any time from within the app. See the Privacy Policy.

12. Intellectual Property

All software, designs, code, algorithms, and content that make up the Service — including the simulation engine, optimizer, and tax logic — are owned by Anadar Professional Services and protected by applicable law. These Terms transfer no intellectual property rights to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.

13. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments) and the Anthropic Claude API (optional AI summaries). Your use of those services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices, availability, or content of third-party services.

14. Service Availability and Changes

14.1 Availability. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The Service may be interrupted for maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control, and we are not liable for interruptions.

14.2 Changes to features. We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify subscribers of material changes that significantly reduce functionality.

14.3 Discontinuation. We may discontinue the Service with reasonable advance notice (at least 30 days) and will offer a prorated refund of prepaid fees for unused time if we do.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT: (A) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE; (B) SIMULATION RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE; (C) ANY ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED; OR (D) THE SERVICE OR ITS SERVERS ARE FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, ANADAR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, LOST RETIREMENT ASSETS, FINANCIAL LOSSES, OR DATA LOSS — ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

THIS LIMITATION APPLIES REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ON WHICH THE CLAIM IS BASED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; IF THOSE LAWS APPLY TO YOU, SOME OR ALL OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY AND YOU MAY HAVE ADDITIONAL RIGHTS.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Anadar Professional Services and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use of the Service in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any law or regulation; (c) any financial decisions you make based on results produced by the Service; or (d) any claim that data you submitted infringes a third party’s rights.

18. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Connecticut, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there. We encourage you to contact us first at support@retirerange.com to seek an informal resolution before initiating formal proceedings.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will post the updated Terms at /terms, update the effective date, and make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers by email. Continued use after the updated Terms are posted constitutes acceptance.

20. Termination

20.1 By you. You may stop using the Service and cancel at any time (Section 4.7).

20.2 By us. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or applicable law, or otherwise at our discretion. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends.

20.3 Survival. Sections 3, 9.1, 12, 15, 16, 17, and 18 survive termination.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Anadar Professional Services regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements on the same subject matter.
